Simien Mountain Tours

Simien Mountain Tours is an Ethiopian-German tour company founded in 2018 by three brothers from the Simien Mountains. Our story is one of family, home, and connection. We didn’t start this company just to show you Ethiopia—we started it to welcome you into the world we know and love.

The brothers—Zigiju, Dawit, and Zelalem—grew up in the heart of these landscapes. Dave learned the mountain trails not from a map, but as a shepherd boy. Ziggy took that local knowledge to Germany, where he studied tourism and learned how to share our home with the world. Zelalem mastered Ethiopia’s diverse terrains, becoming an expert driver who connects all our destinations. Together, they combined this unique blend of deep local roots and international understanding.

From our modest beginnings, we have built our reputation on a simple belief: the most memorable travel comes from authentic human connections and seamless, professional service. We’ve quickly become a trusted name by focusing on tailor-made journeys that respect our culture, support local communities, and exceed expectations.
